I love baking! It is amazing to me how relaxing it is to go into the kitchen, throw a bunch of stuff into a bowl and have it turn into something delicious! Here are a few of the cakes I have made for birthdays lately...

Oh my goodness Valarie! You are very talented!!!! I love that pirate cake! About 20 years ago, my son's birthday fell on Easter, I made a cake by baking it in two canned ham (aluminum/tin?)containers...then put the two sides together with frosting and shaved an egg shape with my electric knife...and I thought that was talent...not by a long shot! Amazing! I used to like to bake, but not since there's no children around anymore...thanks for visiting my hunt tonight! I appreciate your visits

Valarie - those are *amazing* cakes. I am super impressed. Especially the Pirate ship. Wow! If your kids ever need a reality check, they should come check out my birthday cakes. On second thought, better not, it might be too painful for them :)
